We help children, teenagers, parents and adults with difficulties including Anxiety, Depression, Low Self Esteem, Stress, Relationship Difficulties, Parenting/Family Stress, Social and Emotional Difficulties Relating to Autism and ADHD, and Difficulties with Adjustment to Life Transitions.

Our consulting space in Fairfield has been thoughtfully styled to help you feel calm and supported, with dimmable lights, a large variety of sensory grounding tools (a.k.a. figdet toys or fidget tools), and soft cosy blankets.

Your Psychologist
Tamara Zafiropoulos is a dedicated Educational and Developmental Psychologist with extensive experience supporting the mental health and learning needs of children, adolescents and adults. Tamara is a trauma informed, neurodiversity affirming psychologist deeply committed to working with individuals, families, schools and other key stakeholders/organisations in a clients life. She has over 10 years of experience working in various professional and volunteer roles with people across the lifespan, including within government and independent schools, the disability sector, and non-for profit organisations.
Tamara provides individual counselling support to children 10 years+, adolescents, adults and parents/carers. Counselling sessions may be conducted in person in our inner north-east Melbourne psychology room in Fairfield, or online via Telehealth.
Tamara draws upon an integration of evidence based principles, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Humanistic Psychology as guided by each client's needs, goals and their context.

Tamara also conducts a variety of assessments for children and young people aged 4 years and older, including Autism Assessments, ADHD Assessment and Learning Assessments (such as Dyslexia Assessments, and other SLD Assessments). Educational and Developmental Psychology assessments can help us to understand a person’s learning needs, and overall social, emotional and behavioural functioning. Assessments may also help to uncover specific diagnoses, such as Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Developmental Delay, or a Specific Learning Disorder such as Dyslexia or Dysgraphia.
