Do you take Medicare referrals?

In most cases, yes, we provide services to clients with a Medicare Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) or GP referral.

If you have a MHCP, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate on up to 10 sessions per calendar year. As of January 2024, the rebate is $93.35 per 50 minute psychology session.

Please Note: You do not need a GP referral or MHCP to see a psychologist in Australia. You may elect to access services at Palm Tree Psychology privately.

Do you see NDIS clients?

Clients with self-managed NDIS plans are able to flexibly access services of their choosing to address their plan goals; therefore some services at Palm Tree Psychology may be accessed.

Palm Tree Psychology is not a registered NDIS/NDIA provider. Clients with NDIA-managed or agency-managed funding can not use their funding to access our services at this stage. These clients may be eligible for a MHCP or they may access our services privately.
